Legend
Of The Seas
If you are eighteen or
eighty, if you are wealthy or strapped, you will LOVE Legend of the
Seas. What is Legend of the Seas? It is a special
cruise (if that’s not redundant, as all cruises on Royal
Carribean Cruise Lines are “special”). It
is a blast. This particular series of cruises take up to 1800
guests to either Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, or the Mexican Riviera.
The reputation cruise ships have for serving food round the clock and
aplenty holds here with the Legend of the Seas cruises. You
can eat informally at breakfast, at communal tables where you will meet
other lovely passengers; informally at lunch, at a cafeteria-style pass
bar offering three to five or more choices; informally at dinner, at
one of the many restaurants (which are also usually open for
brunches/lunches); and semi-formally and formally at dinner.
As well, there is a 24-hour offering of unlimited snack food, such as
pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, or frozen yogurt. For drinks, you
pre-purchase a card which allows for a number of drinks at reasonable
prices (for any bar, that is!). For example, most are under
$3.00 each.
The staterooms are spotless and welcoming, and have amenities you might
need for a quick bath, shower, or nap…for you will likely be
so involved with one of the many scheduled and unscheduled activities
and events that you will not need more than the already generous and
quiet space. If you need anything, though, you call a
steward, and will have within a few minutes a pot of coffee, extra
towels, extra coat hangers, etc.. There is a full laundry
room on board. There re emergency and first aid stations and
supplies (some of which, like the life jackets, are in your rooms and
are explained to you on the first afternoon aboard the Legend of the
Seas cruise).
If you are not in your room, in one of the bars, or one of the many
peaceful and lovely lounges on the Legend of the Seas, you can visit
art galleries, video arcades, dance halls, casinos (with slots and card
tables), the theatre, or can work out in the amply stocked gymnasium,
swim in the heated or non-heated pools, or lounge in the sun on one of
the many guest decks. There is so much more, such as the
beautiful shops and stores, for instance, but I will leave some of the
mystery up to you who want to experience surprises—legendary
surprises, treats, and fun…on the Legend of the
Seas.
